For as long as I can remember, dogs have been my interest and passion. Growing up in Norway, my
childhood was filled with experiences from my parents' kennel, and we would spend our holidays travelling from dog show to dog show up and down the Swedish and Norwegian
borders. I got my first own dog when I was eight - a cavalier king charles spaniel who was almost deaf, but had a super-sized heart. She loved everyone! We also had a huge, lovable leonberger and a couple of gorgeous tervuerens. I feel extremely fortunate to have had the chance to love and be loved by these fantastic canine
personalities.
Despite my family never owning a collie, the rough collie quickly became my favourite breed. At dog shows I would sit glued to the collie ring, and I would read every issue of the International Collie Handbook or collie magazine that I could get my hands on. The rough collie simply embodied everything that I wanted in a dog. An intelligent working dog with a healthy, yet breathtakingly beautiful appearance.
I moved to England to study in 2002, and started my own translation business from home in 2004. I was finally in a position to have my own dogs, and welcomed Nemi into the family in 2005. Sonic arrived two years later, and another collie girl will hopefully join the family in the near future. I hope that that these dogs will be part of a foundation from which I can breed collies with focus on sound temperament, health and classic beauty. The type of collie that I appreciate has an elegant and well-balanced silhouette and moves with confidence - like a true working dog. Its head is strong, yet refined, and its expression is both sweet and intelligent.
My aim is to learn as much as I can about every aspect of this amazing breed, and contribute to its future by breeding responsibly and with the breed's best interest at heart.
