I was delighted when I could finally collect my striking blue merle boy, Wicani Dust be Diamonds, from the Wicani kennel in July 2007. Thank you so much Angela, for trusting me with this gorgeous young man! Sonic had his show debut at the East Anglian Collie Association Collie Club show right after turning nine months in January, and came third in puppy and novice class. He did not enjoy the experience as much as I thought he would because of the slippery floors in the hall, but should hopefully enjoy himself more in his next shows! However, he is taking a long time to mature, and we will show him sparingly until he has had more time to fill out and grow a proper adult coat.
Sonic has a lovely silver blue colour, and rich tan markings. His head is correct and balanced, with well placed ears, obliquely set eyes and a defined underjaw. He is not just easy on the eye, but has plenty of charisma and attitude too. His temper is superb, and he is the most affectionate collie I have ever known. Sonic is genetically clear of the MDR1 mutant gene, and will be hip and eye tested soon.
